Brandon Duckworth

8/1/2006

Duckworth was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday with soreness in his elbow. He exited after 1 2-3 innings of relief on Sunday.

5/13/2005

Duckworth has cleared waivers, and the Houston Astros have sent him outright to Triple-A Round Rock. The righthander, who is 0-1 with an 11.40 ERA in six appearances this season, including two starts, was out of minor league options. He will be replaced in the bullpen by Mike Burns.

The Astros have not given up on Duckworth, but would like for him to get some work in the minors before giving him another chance at the major league level.

4/26/2005

Duckworth is off to a rough start this season, allowing 14 runs on 14 hits over 10 innings in three appearances. As a result, he has lost his spot in the Houston Astros' starting rotation and now will pitch in long relief. Rookie Ezequiel Astacio will be recalled from the minor leagues to fill the void and is slated to make his first start on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

If Duckworth can right the ship, he could return to the rotation down the line. His fantasy value in either role is highly limited.
