T.J. Tucker

12/22/2005

Tucker has re-signed with the Washington Nationals, agreeing to minor league contract. The right-hander, who missed some time last season with a hyperextended pitching elbow, made just 13 relief appearances in 2005, going 1-0 with a 6.39 ERA.

Tucker has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hyperextended right elbow. The Nationals' pitcher attempted to play through the injury, but had to be removed in the eighth inning of Friday night's loss to the Texas Rangers. To take Tucker's roster spot, Washington has recalled Travis Hughes from Triple-A New Orleans.

Tucker has been activated from the 15-day disabled list by the Washington Nationals after missing more than a month with a strained right groin. The righthander fills the roster spot of fellow pitcher Jon Rauch, who is out with a torn labrum.

A strained right groin has landed Tucker on the 15-day disabled list for the Washington Nationals. The righthander, who said he felt a pop while pitching in Tuesday's game against the Florida Marlins, will be replaced on the roster by Hector Carrasco.

Tucker will undergo more tests over the next couple of days to determine the extent of the injury, but currently, the team expects him to be sidelined for 2-4 weeks. In six relief appearances this season, he is 1-0 and has allowed just four hits in 5.1 scoreless innings.
