Marlon Anderson

3/19/2006

Anderson will miss two to three days while recovering from a cut on his index finger on his left hand. He injured the finger while cutting a grapefruit on Saturday.

Anderson and the Washington Nationals agreed to a two-year, $1.85 million deal on Friday. In 235 at-bats with the Mets in 2005, the 31-year-old utility player hit .264 with nine doubles, seven home runs and 19 RBIs.

7/28/2005

Anderson notched the first multihomer game of his major league career, belting a pair of solo home runs in Wednesday's 9-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Going into the game, the light-hitting infielder had just one homer in his previous 145 at-bats this season.
