The Philadelphia Phillies placed Santana on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a stomach ailment that forced him to miss the last two games. The right-handed reliever is eligible to come off the disabled list on May 6 and manager Charlie Manuel said Santana will travel with the team to Pittsburgh this weekend.

Santana and the Philadelphia Phillies came to terms on a one-year, $800,000 contract for 2006. The 32-year-old right-hander was 3-5 with a 4.50 ERA and a save in 41 relief appearances with Milwaukee last season.

After missing more than six weeks with a shoulder problem, Santana has been activated from the 15-day disabled list by the Milwaukee Brewers. The 32-year-old righthander has made 38 relief appearances this season, going 3-5 with a 4.46 ERA and one save.
