On Tuesday, Reyes had reconstructive elbow surgery to repair a ligament that had been torn off the bone. In a playoff blow, the Cardinals has to remove relief pitcher Al Reyes from Sunday's game with a sprained right elbow. It is unknown at this point if Reyes will be ready for the playoffs, however, the Cardinals would like to see him back in the bullpen as soon as possible. Reyes finished the 2005 campaign with 4-2 record and a 2.15 earned run average in 64 games.
