Kelly Johnson

6/23/2005

Johnson continues to produce for the Atlanta Braves. The outfielder, who was recalled from the minor leagues late last month and made his major league debut, went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Florida Marlins to extend his hitting streak to a career-high eight games. Over that span, the rookie is 14-for-31 with a double, three home runs, 12 RBI and eight walks.

Johnson was called up from the Braves' Triple-A club in Richmond, and made his major league debut on Sunday in left field. Brian Jordan will shift to right field and split time with Ryan Langerhans, as the Braves look for a way to replace struggling veteran Raul Mondesi.
