Pena has been recalled from Triple-A Richmond by the Atlanta Braves, filling the roster spot of the injured Johnny Estrada. In nine games with Atlanta earlier this season, Pena went 3-for-23 with an RBI and five strikeouts. He was hitting better than .300 with the minor league club.

Pena, who was recalled two days ago with starting catcher Johnny Estrada serving a two-game suspension, was returned to Triple-A Richmond after Atlanta's win over Pittsburgh on Friday. The move was made to make room on the Braves' roster for Saturday's starter, Kyle Davies. Pena can return to regular duty for Richmond, where he is batting .336 with a .387 on-base percentage in 65 games this season.
