7/31/2006

The Rockies traded Dohmann to the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

Dohmann is back with the Colorado Rockies, called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday. The righthander fills the roster spot of Zach Day, who was optioned to the minor league club to work through a minor shoulder injury. Dohmann began the 2005 campaign with the Rockies, but was demoted after going 0-1 with an 18.90 ERA in nine relief appearances.

Having trouble controlling his fastball, Dohmann has been optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs by the Colorado Rockies. The righthander, who will be replaced in the bullpen by veteran Jay Witasick, has struggled in nine relief appearances this season, going 0-1 with an 18.90 ERA and two blown saves.

Dohmann will work on his command with the minor league club, and he should be back with the Rockies later this season. He has no fantasy value.
