The Chicago Cubs have traded Leicester to the Texas Rangers for a player to be named. The 26-year-old right-hander was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in six games (one start) for the Cubs in 2005. He spent most of the season at Triple-A Iowa, where he was 3-8 with a 5.51 ERA in 16 starts and eight relief appearances.

Before even making an appearance in his most recent stint with the major league club, Leicester has been optioned back to Triple-A Iowa by the Chicago Cubs. The righthander, who filled the void on the roster when LaTroy Hawkins was dealt to the Giants over the weekend, will be replaced by Wednesday's starting pitcher, John Koronka.

Leicester has been recalled from Triple-A Iowa, replacing the departed LaTroy Hawkins on the Cubs' roster. In six games with the Cubs this year, Leicester has posted a 9.00 ERA, allowing 11 hits and nine walks in nine innings.

After making his first career major league start in Monday's game against the New York Mets, Leicester has been optioned back to Triple-A Iowa by the Chicago Cubs. The righthander, who allowed four runs on five hits -- including two home runs -- in three innings of work, will be replaced on the roster by Sergio Mitre.

Leicester made five relief appearances with Chicago earlier this season, but was optioned to the minor league club after going 0-2 wtih a 7.50 ERA.

Leicester has been recalled from Triple-A Iowa by the Chicago Cubs, and he is scheduled to make his first major league start in Monday's meeting with the New York Mets. The righthander made five relief appearances with Chicago earlier this season, but was optioned to the minor league club after going 0-2 wtih a 7.50 ERA.

Ryan Dempster originally was slated to take the mound for the Cubs on Monday, but he was named the team's new closer over the weekend. In two games with Iowa this season, including one start, Leicester allowed three runs on four hits in five innings of work. He struck out four and walked three.

After struggling in five relief appearances so far this season, Leicester has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa by the Chicago Cubs. The righthander, who is 0-2 wtih a 7.50 ERA, will be replaced in the bullpen by righty Roberto Novoa.
