On Monday, the Kansas City Royals put relievers Jeremy Affeldt and Ambiorix Burgos on the disabled list and recalled Gobble to work out of the bullpen. The lefthander arrives from Triple-A Omaha, where he made 12 starts and posted a 2-7 record and 6.48 ERA.
