Fuentes was selected to his second All-Star team Sunday as one of the four relief pitchers on the National League roster. He is 2-1 with 15 saves and a 2.16 ERA this season.

Fuentes and the Colorado Rockies agreed to a two-year, $5.5 million contract Monday. The Rockies' All-Star left-hander went 2-5 with 31 saves and a 2.91 ERA in 78 appearances last season. He became the team's closer in May after Chin-hui Tsao was sidelined with a shoulder injury.

With Chin-hui Tsao sidelined indefintely with a shoulder injury, the Colorado Rockies will turn to Fuentes in the majority of save situations going forward, according to manager Clint Hurdle. The lefthander has made 22 relief appearances so far this season, going 0-2 with a 2.65 ERA. He has struck out 12 and walked nine in 17 innings of work.
