7/15/2005

On Thursday, the Toronto Blue Jays recalled righthander Chad Gaudin from Triple-A Syracuse and designated Miller for assignment. The 27-year-old Miller, who was acquired with Eric Hinske from Oakland in a 2001 deal for Billy Koch, worked 2.1 innings and posted a 15.43 ERA for the Jays this season.

After clearing waivers, Miller will be sent outright to Triple-A Syracuse by the Toronto Blue Jays. The righthander appeared in eight exhibition games this spring, allowing four runs on nine hits in nine innings. He struck out nine batters and walked three.
