Avoiding salary arbitration, Wise re-signed with the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday, agreeing to a two-year, $1.7 million contract, including a $100,000 signing bonus. The 30-year-old right-hander made 49 relief appearances last season, going 4-4 with a 3.36 ERA and one save. He struck out 62 batters and walked 25 in 64.1 innings of work.

The Milwaukee Brewers activated Wise from the disabled list Thursday, two weeks after he was sidelined with an oblique strain. He returns with a 4-4 mark and 3.47 ERA in 41 games.
