Aubrey Huff

6/23/2006

Huff homered and drove in three runs in Tampa Bay's 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.

5/3/2006

Huff, who suffered a left knee strain on April 11, will return to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Friday. The St. Petersburg Times is reporting that the first baseman will play for high Class-A Visalia Wednesday and Thursday before rejoining the big league club for the Rays' weekend series in Oakland.

4/12/2006

Huff left in the fourth inning of Tuesday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles with a left knee sprain. The Devil Rays said the third baseman underwent X-rays and an MRI, and additional details about the injury would be known Wednesday.

7/18/2005

Late in Tampa Bay's 5-4 win over Toronto on Sunday, Huff moved over to third base and played two innings there. It was his first 2005 appearance at third after playing 86 games there in 2004.

The diagnosis for Huff is a bruised right knee. The Tampa Bay DH-outfielder will be examined Friday by the team's orthopedic physician, Dr. Koco Eaton, and perhaps more will be known about his condition after the exam.

There hasn't been an update on Huff's bruised right knee, which he injured on Wednesday, but the outfielder isn't in Tampa Bay's lineup for Thursday night's game against the Yankees.

6/22/2005

Huff suffered a bruised right knee and was forced to leave Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees in the fifth inning. The outfielder, who was replaced in the Devil Rays' lineup by Reggie Taylor, has been listed as day-to-day, but he will be re-evaluated prior to Thursday's contest to determine his availability.

5/26/2005

Huff missed his second straight game on Wednesday with a stomach virus. He was sent home in an attempt to keep the other Tampa Bay players from becoming ill.

5/25/2005

Huff was expected to return to the Tampa Bay lineup Tuesday after missing Sunday's contest with a stiff neck, but he sat again in the Rays' 5-4 win over Oakland. While most sources identify Huff's neck as the reason, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Huff came down with a stomach bug.

5/24/2005

Huff is expected to return to the Tampa Bay lineup Tuesday after missing Sunday's contest with a stiff neck. Before sitting out Sunday's 8-5 loss to Florida, Huff had gone 5-for-12 with a pair of doubles and five RBI in his previous three games. He'll look to pick it up where he left off when the Rays host Oakland on Tuesday night.

5/23/2005

Huff was a late scratch from the starting lineup on Sunday after complaining of a stiff neck. The Tampa Bay right fielder had to sit at a time when he was hitting well. In his last three games before Sunday's series finale between the Rays and Marlins, Huff was 5-for-12 with a pair of doubles and five RBI.
