Walker has been optioned to Triple-A Charlotte by the Chicago White Sox. The lefthander has appeared in just nine games during his two brief stints in the major leagues this season, going 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA.

On Thursday, the Chicago White Sox placed lefthander Damaso Marte on the 15-day disabled list and recalled Walker from Triple-A Charlotte. The 28-year-old Walker, also a southpaw, went 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA in four games in an earlier stint with Chicago this season. He was 0-2 with two saves and a 5.11 ERA in 29 games for Charlotte.

After the White Sox' 10-7 loss to the Angels Wednesday night, Walker was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte. The 28-year-old lefthander, who was recalled on May 9, was 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA in four relief appearances.
