Mike Lamb

5/2/2005

Lamb took a Mark Prior pitch deep into the right-field seats with the bases loaded in the fifth inning of Sunday's game against the Chicago Cubs, notching the first grand slam of his major league career. The Astros' infielder drove in another run with a single later in the game, giving him five RBI on the day.

Lamb has been hot at the plate recently, going 6-for-16 with three doubles, one home run, two walks and seven RBI in his last four games. For the season, he is batting .262 with a homer and 10 RBI in 20 contests.
