Scott Strickland

11/22/2005

Strickland and the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a minor league deal for 2006. The right-handed reliever is returning from Tommy John surgery that limited him to five big league appearances the last two seasons. Those appearances came in 2005 with Houston, where Strickland posted a 6.75 ERA over four innings of work. He would receive a $650,000 salary if he makes the Pirates' roster.
