Terrence Long

5/30/2005

Long reported some tightness behind his left knee and was removed from the Royals' lineup as a precautionary measure in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. The outfielder, who was replaced by Matt Diaz, will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine his status.

4/11/2005

Long left the Royals' 8-3 win over the Angels Sunday with a charley horse in his left leg. The Kansas City outfielder is considered day-to-day, and his status is uncertain for Monday night, when the Royals return home to host Seattle in the start of a new series.

Long is off to a solid start, batting .353 (6-for-17) with four doubles. He has hit safely in his last four games.
