Garcia won his sixth straight decision on Monday against the Minnesota Twins. The White Sox pitcher went 6 2-3 innings, giving up three runs and seven hits, including a home run.

After a spectacular one-hitter in his last outing, Garcia was rocked by the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. The righthander threw just 4.1 innings and gave up eight earned runs and 11 hits. He has now gone winless in his last five outings.

Garcia pitched one of the better games in baseball this year on Tuesday, but still came up on the losing end in Chicago's 1-0 loss to the Twins. The righthander had a no-hitter through seven innings, but gave up a home run to Jacque Jones leading off the eighth inning. Garcia finished the game with his first career one-hitter, but still suffered the loss.

As anticipated, Garcia will be ready for his scheduled start against the Colorado Rockies on Monday after reporting to problems following a bullpen session over the weekend. The 28-year-old righthander left during the sixth inning of the White Sox' 5-4 win over the Angels last Tuesday because of irritation in his left hamstring. The injury never was considered severe.

Garcia left during the sixth inning of the White Sox' 5-4 win over the Angels Tuesday because of irritation in his left hamstring. The 28-year-old righthander will be re-examined on Wednesday, but Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said he thought Garcia would be ready to go for his next start on Monday.
