Brian Moehler

7/2/2006

Moehler was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with a right foot sprain.

4/29/2005

Moehler, who has stepped into a starting role for the Marlins in the absence of injured veteran Ismael Valdez, will have his spot in the rotation skipped this weekend, due to a couple days of rainouts and an upcoming off-day. According to manager Jack McKeon, A.J. Burnett will take the mound on Friday, Dontrelle Willis is slated for Saturday and Josh Beckett will handle Sunday's duties.

The Marlins are off on Monday, and Al Leiter will kick off a series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Moehler has been solid for the Marlins this season, going 1-1 with a 1.83 ERA in five appearances, including three starts.

4/8/2005

Moehler will make a spot start for the Florida Marlins in Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals, filling in for Ismael Valdez, who has been scratched because of a bruised right leg. The righthander, who has not made a major league start since 2003, allowed just one hit and struck out a batter over two innings of work in his season debut earlier this week.

Valdez is expected to miss just one start, so Moehler will return to a long-relief role next week.
