Roger Cedeno

6/25/2005

On Friday the Cardinals activated outfielder Roger Cedeno from the 15-day disabled list. Immediately following the activation, the club designated Cedeno for assignment to rehab at Triple-A Memphis. Cedeno should spend a few weeks in Memphis working out his strained hamstring.

Nursing a strained right hamstring -- an injury suffered while running the bases on Saturday -- Cedeno has been placed on the 15-day disabled list by the St. Louis Cardinals. The ailment is minor, and the outfielder is expected to be ready to come off the DL when eligible in a couple of weeks. Skip Schumaker was recalled to fill the void on the roster.
