Shawn Green

6/27/2005

Green notched his second multihomer game of the season and 29th of his major league career, clearing the fence twice in Sunday's win over the Detroit Tigers. The outfielder, who finished the game 3-for-4 with a walk, connected for two-run home runs in the first and fourth inning. He also added a double and scored three times.

Green was held out of the Diamondbacks starting lineup on Thursday for the first time this season due to general fatigue. It's unknown if Green has any kind of nagging injury aggravating his hitting ability, however, he should be back in the lineup this weekend.

If you have someone who can take his place in the lineup, perhaps you should give him some bench time, until his bat comes around again.
