Tim Salmon

4/19/2006

Salmon, who tweaked a groin muscle against Baltimore Sunday, may miss another game or two. That's the word from Angels manager Mike Scioscia, who told the Angels' Web site that the veteran outfielder was doing better on Monday. He sat out Tuesday's 8-2 win over Minnesota.

Salmon "tweaked" a groin muscle early in the Angels' win over Baltimore on Sunday, and he had to leave in the fourth inning after running out a hit. The Angels' Web site reports that Salmon is day-to-day.

Originally placed on the 15-day disabled list due to his recovery from left knee and rotator cuff surgery, the Angels have now moved Salmon to the 60-day DL. Salmon may not return until the last month of the season.

Salmon's fantasy value has all but left the building.
